In occasione del BBC Music Day tantissimi musicisti inglesi sono stati omaggiati per il contributo dato al panorama musicale nazionale. 

Delle targhette blu sono state apposte in corrispondenza delle varie stazioni radio della BBC sparse per tutto il paese coi nomi dei musicisti e del motivo per cui si sono aggudicati il riconoscimento.
